Gauri is a five year old girl. Her mother's pregnancy was a very difficult time. When Gauri was in her mother's womb, Satan came over her mother's body. Satan gave her much trouble at that time. Her husband left her, permanently, when he saw her condition. Gauri's grandmother brought her mother home and started a medical treatment for her, but she did not heal through the medical treatment. Gauri's grandmother took her mother to a black magic practitioner, but the pregnancy problems did not get better. Satan occupied her body every night and gave her much trouble. In that same condition, her mother gave birth to Gauri, and after several days, her mother died. Gauri's mother had no brothers. She left behind three sisters.

Gauri does not know what a mother is. Her mother's sisters and her grandmother looked after Gauri from childhood. Now her mother's sisters got married last year. Her grandmother and maternal grandfather do not earn enough to be able to send Guari to school. Her grandmother worked as a laborer, but her illness caused her to leave her job job and stay at home. Gauri's maternal grandfather is also ill. When we heard about Gauri's situation from a Christian brother, we went to the grandparent's home and gave them hope for Gauri's education through the Children of Hope School.

Gauri's grandmother told us, "If there were not for the Children of Hope School, my little Gauri may have remained illiterate." She thanked us and gave thanks for the School, giving new hope her little Gauri.

Tara is a three year old girl who didn't even know how to speak when we met her. Her parents work as laborers and earn very little. They could hardly afford their everyday meal. Their son studies in our School.

Every day Tara used to cry to go with her brother to school. Her mother always worried about her when she had to go to her work. Who will look after her daughter Tara? One day when Tara came along with her mother to school, Tara became very happy when she saw the children. Her mother said, 'Every day she cries to go to school, but how can I leave her as she is so small?' But, after being convinced by us that she would be safe at our school, she sent her for two days to see how she likes school, and she noticed that Tara was very happy to go to school. Whoever attends school for the first time often cries a lot at first, but Tara was happy from the start.

Now, she has learned how to speak and her IQ level is quite high. She comes to school on time and, being a small child, she still recognizes her own class. Every day she tries to work at copying with a pencil. Tara's mother is so glad to see her child starting to speak and peacefully going to school. The teachers of the school say that in her life she will reach to great heights.

Rishika  I encountered a girl named Rishika.   In her house there is no electricity and little food.   Her family is living in an unauthorized area.   After her sister's death, everything in her home came to an end.   Her father lost his job, and started living in illness.   We went to her house and talked to her mother asking why she is not educating her children.   Rishika's mother said 'I am alone to look after my family.   I have three children.   I wanted to do something for them, but I said there is not much I can do.   When I said this, the mother started to cry.

Then we talked to Rishika who, like other children, wanted to go to school.   After hearing this we stepped forward and decided to help the mother in educating her child.   We gave Rishika admission to Children of Hope School.   Now Rishika has learned to write and speak well.   Her mother is glad to see that her child like other children goes to school and that her dream is coming true.
